Apex Members Earn Spots on Team BC, Baden Cup, and Zone Teams

After a series of tryouts, 13 members of the Apex Volleyball Club have taken the next step in their volleyball careers.

For the second year in a row, Raymond Chow of the U18 Ninjas has been selected as a member of the Team BC NTCC U18s, which will be training hard over the summer in preparation for the NTCC tournament next year as U19s.

U16 Boom members Armin Hosseini, Kelvin Ma, Brady Wallace, and Aaron Wong have been selected to participate in the Baden Cup July 5-8, 2010 in Kamloops, where they will have a shot at the Western Elites squad that will represent BC.

Kashtin de Souza, Matty Hall-Stevenson, Brandon Nguyen, and Charvet Truong of the U15 Airborne team, along with James Champion and Evan Chang of the U15 Arsenal, were selected as members of the Zone 5 indoor team that will be competing at the BC Summer Games in July. This team is headed by Apex coach Aaron Lock, and assisted by another Apex coach, Derek Cho. U15 Airborne member Nestor Valdez, and U15 Arsenal member Matt Nee, were selected as alternates.

Rounding out this impressive list is Chelsea Campbell of the U15 Storm. Chelsea was also selected as an alternate for the Zone 5 indoor girls team.
