Congratulations to Jessi Young of the Apex 16U Ice team for making the Team BC Beach team this summer. After a controversial and disappointing absence from the Team BC 16U Indoor team, Jessi gathered herself and bounced back beautifully during this week’s Team BC 16U beach tryouts. Jessi was one of the two 16U girls selected amongst almost thirty athletes.

After competing this weekend (August 1, 2) at the 16U Beach Provincials, Jessi will further her training with the Team BC Beach program throughout the month of August. After logging hours of preparation, working hard and showing great Apex spirit, I personally am proud of Jessi and I am honored to be her coach. We all wish her all the best in representing Apex at the upcoming beach provincials and we all look forward to Jessi making her own stamp on the beaches of BC and perhaps Nationals.
