Strong Results for Boys @ Okanagan SS

By • Apr 2nd, 2009 • Category: Big Story, News, Tournaments

All 5 Apex Boys’ teams travelled to Kelowna for the BCVA events held in the Okanagan, and all teams finished in the top 10!

Our U18 and U17 boys competed in the same 20 team tournament, with the U17 Impulse finishing a very strong 4th, and our U18 Paranoia finishing in 7th. The unexpected 4th place finish for the Impulse bodes well for them and their seeding going into the Provincial Championships in 3 weeks time. Paranoia was able to exact some revenge on the Mariners from the Island, defeating them in playoff play after losing in pool play, and then defeating the hometown Kelowna team for 7th.

The U16 Rush were among 6 power pool teams, and finished in 8th place of 14 teams.

The U15 Boom moved up and joined Rush in the U16 tournament, finishing 2nd in the Silver Division, and 10th place overall.

The U15 Assault have taken huge steps since the beginning of the season, and although they finished 6th out of 6 teams, are primed to take a huge step at the Provincials in May.

Lots of fun was had by all teams in their first road trip of the season and we all look forward to our remaining tournaments before the end of the season in April/May.
